DESCRIPTION:Description:\nWe’ll walk into the impressive Grotto Canyon before heading to Canmore for a hot drink! Icers (cleats) are necessary for this winter hike as we’ll be walking on ice at times.  You can rent cleats from Sports Rent in Calgary. \nMeet Place:\nShell Station at COP \nDirections:\nMeet at the Shell station at COP. \nDistance/Length:\nRated (AL)\, 8 km + 200 meters elevation gain: 3-4 hours on trail. \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. It is not guaranteed but may be an option. \n

We’ll stop in downtown Canmore for a hot drink and snack or late lunch. Bring food for the hike as the café stop will be after 1 pm. You will be back in Calgary by 3-4 pm.\n*Lunch cost not included.  \nMeet Place:\nMeet at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore. \nDirections:\nTake Hwy 1 to Canmore and park in the parking lot just before the Malcolm Hotel. \nDistance/Length:\nRated (MOD)\, 10 km + 200 meters elevation gain: 3-4 hours of walking \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary.
