DESCRIPTION:Description:\nWe’ll hike with cleats past a series of waterfalls along the Evan Thomas trail. We’ll hike from forested trails to an open valley before closing in on a series of three waterfalls. The final waterfall\, the Green Monstor\, requires hikers to hang onto a rope along a ledge so may not be accessible to all. We backtrack from this waterfall and climb to beautiful views of the Kananaskis Valley and look for a sunny spot for lunch. \nMeet Place:\nEvan Thomas Day Use area\, Hwy 40\, Kananaskis \nDirections:\nEvan Thomas Day Use Area\, Hwy 40\, Kananaskis \nDistance/Length:\nRated (MOD)\, 12 km + 170 meters elevation gain: 4+ hours on trail. \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. It is not guaranteed but may be an option.
