DESCRIPTION:Description:\nWe’ll walk from Banff townsite\, along the Bow River\, through neighbourhoods\, and along forested pathways below the steep cliffs of Tunnel Mountain. As the final section of the trail ascends\, views open up across the Bow Valley to Mount Rundle. We’ll loop back through town to warm up at a café *. \n*Café stop is optional. We will stop along the walk to eat so bring a lunch/snacks and plan to enjoy something more to eat at the café if you’d like to stay after the walk. \nWant to join us?\nScroll down to the bottom for the options \nMeet Place:\nShell Station at COP (or meet us at 9:30 am INSIDE the train station in Banff. Access the train station from the Norquay ski hill turn off and there is FREE parking and warm bathrooms here. Here is the Google Map link to the train station) \nDirections:\nTake Hwy 1 to the town of Banff. \nDistance/Length:\nRated (AL)\, 11 km + 200 meters elevation gain: 3-4 hours on pathways and side streets\, \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged. DESCRIPTION:Description:\nWe’ll hike the neighbourhoods\, river trails\, and the High Line Trail trail in Canmore. We’ll walk along the Bow River towards the Three Sisters mountain ranges before walking the Highline Trail. We’ll stop in downtown Canmore for a coffee post-hike if you have time. Bring lunch for the hike and we will eat along the trail. You should be back in Calgary by 3-4 pm (depending on if you stop for a coffee)\n*Lunch cost not included.  \nWant to join us?\nScroll down to the bottom for the options \nMeet Place:\nMeet in Canmore at the parking lot just before the Malcolm Hotel. See map below. \nDirections:\nTake Hwy 1 to Canmore and park in the official town parking lot just before the Malcolm Hotel. \nDistance/Length:\nRated (MOD)\, 10 km + 500 meters elevation gain: 4-5 hours on trail. \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary.
