DESCRIPTION:Description:\nTreat yourself to a 2-day snowshoe getaway*! We’ll carpool from Calgary bright and early on day 1 to snowshoe into Rummel Lake\, in the Spray Lakes area of Kananaskis. Post-snowshoe\, we’ll walk a few steps to Engadine Lodge\, where we’ll enjoy our afternoon tea before relaxing into the evening. A gourmet dinner awaits us and then maybe some star watching or reading a good book. Day 2 starts with a tasty breakfast at the lodge\, a packed lunch ready for our day\, and another powder-pouncing snowshoe in the Spray Lakes area. This multi-day trip is a stand-alone event and not part of the session membership packages. \nDate and Duration:\nSunday\, January 30\, 2022 @ 10:00 am – Monday\, January 31\, 2022 @ 5:00 pm \nMeet Place:\nWe will meet at the Rummel Lake trailhead (road parking on the Spray Lakes Road at the turnoff to Engadine Lodge) \nDirections:\nWe will drive approximately 1.5 hours to the Rummel Lake snowshoe trail (and Engadine Lodge). \nThe Snowshoe treks:\nThere are many snowshoe options so the exact snowshoe locations could change based on conditions\, but here’s an overview: \n\n January 30: Rummel Lake\, Spray Lake Provincial Park\, Kananaskis\n\n12 km round trip\n400 metres elevation gain\n4-5 on trail hours (including lunch break)\nDifficulty: MOD\n\n\nJanuary 31: Chester Lake & Elephant Rocks\, Spray Lake Provincial Park\, Kananaskis \n\n8 km round trip\n3-400 metres elevation gain\n4 trail hours (including lunch break)\nDifficulty: MOD\n\n\n\nWhat’s Included*:\n\nTwo Club Fit Frog snowshoe outings\nOne afternoon tea and charcuterie\nOne amazing dinner\nOne tasty breakfast.\nOne boxed trail lunch for your adventure\nAll meal gratuities\n\n* This is after you register with Fit Frog and then reserve your room directly with Engadine Lodge. \nCost\nCost per person: Approximate cost: $450 per person (double occupancy); $625 (single occupancy) \n\nFit Frog Cost: $200* per person (see 20% discount option below)  Register here!\nLodge cost depends on the room your choose (including all meals): Approximately $250 per person (based on double occupancy) and $425 (single occupancy). Ask about sharing a room as there may be people who would like to do this and many rooms can be converted to two beds.\n\n* If you have attended a Club Fit Frog Winter mountain or are registered in any Club Fit Frog package of walks or mountain snowshoes\, then you can attend for $160 (a 20% discount). You may also join us for a single day at the regular single outing snowshoe rate.  \nHow to Register & Pay\nStep 1:  Please register for the accommodation/meals directly with Engadine Lodge. There isn’t a special Fit Frog booking code\, just reserve any room that works for you. If you are keen to share a room\, ask Lori about others who are interested. \nStep 2: Register with Fit Frog – Register here!  \nCovid vaccination mandatory:\nVaccination is mandatory to walk/hike/snowshoe with Fit Frog. Please confirm that you are fully vaccinated for Covid 19. You can do this by emailing Lori at lorib@fitfrog.ca proof of vaccination. \nCancellation\nClub Fit Frog portion: This amount CAN be used for another Fit Frog program in the form of a credit if you decide not to attend the snowshoe treks and advise Fit Frog of this 2 or more days in advance of the start date. The booking is fully transferable. \nEngadine Lodge portion: Please read the booking policy at Engadine Lodge when making your reservation. Full amount due upon booking. ALL Booking are eligible for a date change with no penalty or a full credit towards a future say with 48 hours notice.
