DESCRIPTION:Description:\nWe’ll snowshoe alongside the upper lake of Kananaskis before climbing along a forested path to Rawson Lake.  Snowshoes or Icers (cleats) can be used for this winter hike \nMeet Place:\nShell Station at COP \nDirections:\nMeet at the Shell station at COP. \nDistance/Length:\nRated (MOD)\, 10 km + 400 meters elevation gain: 4+ hours on trail. \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. It is not guaranteed but may be an option. \nCovid vaccination mandatory:\nVaccination is mandatory to hike with Fit Frog. Please confirm that you are fully vaccinated for Covid 19. You can do this by emailing Lori at lorib@fitfrog.ca proof of vaccination.

There are options to stop before the top as the views are spectacular the entire hike! \nMeet Place:\nHighwood Pass parking lot\, Kananaskis \nDirections:\nMeet at the Highwood Pass parking lot\, Hwy 40\, Kananaskis (trailhead for Pocaterra Ridge and Ptarmigan Cirque trails) \nDistance/Length:\nRated (INT)\, 12 km + 760 meters elevation gain: 5-6 hours hiking. There is an option for some people to stop after about 500 metres of elevation gain and enjoy the views while others hike to the top. \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the meet place.
