Access to the Park is from Glenbow Road\, off of Highway 1A. The Park is 34 km west of downtown Calgary and 5 km east of Cochrane. Park in the official parking lot at the end of Glenbow Road. \nBathrooms:\nYes\, bathrooms at the trailhead \nPost-Walk Coffee Stop (Optional):\nNone\, but bring some snacks or lunch for a post-walk picnic stop with views of the Rockies \nCovid vaccination mandatory:\nVaccination is mandatory to walk/hike/snowshoe with Fit Frog. There are options to stop before the top as the views are spectacular the entire hike! \nMeet Place:\nHighwood Pass parking lot\, Kananaskis \nDirections:\nMeet at the Highwood Pass parking lot\, Hwy 40\, Kananaskis (trailhead for Pocaterra Ridge and Ptarmigan Cirque trails) \nDistance/Length:\nRated (INT)\, 12 km + 760 meters elevation gain: 5-6 hours hiking. There is an option for some people to stop after about 500 metres of elevation gain and enjoy the views while others hike to the top. \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the meet place.
