DESCRIPTION:Description:\nWe’ll head southwest of Calgary to the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area (ASCCA);  a 4\,800-acre day-use habitat conservation area and nocturnal preserve. Continue along Hwy 40 to the Galatea trailhead\, just past the Village of Kananaskis. \nDistance/Length:\nRated MOD/INT to Lillian Lake and INT to Galatea Lake and Guinn’s Pass:  Lillian Lake is 12.5 km + 475 metres round trip; Galatea Lake is 17 km +675 metres elevation gain round trip ( 6+ hiking hours including lunch stop to Galatea Lake and 7 + hours to Guinn’s Pass) \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from Calgary. DESCRIPTION:Description:\nThis Parks Canada Trail is well maintained and allows for beautiful views of many gorgeous peaks and Egypt Lake. The start of the trail keeps you shaded from the summer sun as you gradually climb. The hike starts with a wide\, rolling trail that narrows as you go. The lush forest and the bridge over Healy Creek are stunning\, submerging you in the idyllic natural universe of the Canadian Rockies. We’ll take Simpson pass through meadows\, and past lakes before entering the golden larch-filled alpine meadows that lead to Healy Pass. Views of lakes and waterfalls and peak upon peak are your reward. \nMeet Place:\nMeet at the Sunshine Ski Hill parking which is also the Healy Pass trailhead. Carpooling might be possible so let me know if interested. \nDirections:\nPlease see the map below for directions to the Sunshine Ski Hill\, just west of Banff Townsite. \nDistance/Length:\nRated MOD/INT: 20 km + 700 metres elevation gain. 6+ hours hiking \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from our meet place.
