Stretching 19 km from east to west and encompassing over 13 km2\, the park is the ultimate\, urban-wilderness getaway. Walking west along the paved path\, we’ll be immersed in white spruce and balsam poplar forests. The sandstone cliffs on the north side of the creek are favourite nesting spots for prairie and peregrine falcons and ravens. A gourmet dinner awaits us and then maybe some star watching or reading a good book. Day 2 starts with a tasty breakfast at the lodge\, a packed lunch ready for our day\, and another powder-pouncing snowshoe in the Spray Lakes area.
