The views are spectacular throughout the hike. Due to the recent snowfall\, we will hike with cleats or snowshoes\, depending on the depth of the snow. \n\nMeet Place:\nAllen Bill trailhead\, Elbow Falls Trail (Hwy 66) Kananaskis \nDirections:\nThis trailhead is about a 45-55 minute drive from Calgary. \n\nAccess Hwy. 66 from Hwy. 22 (Hwy. 22 becomes Hwy. 66) or from Hwy. 8 (Glenmore Trail West).\nFollow Hwy. 66 into Kananaskis Country\nGo past the Information Centre and watch for the “Allen Bill” sign.\nThe sign and parking are just past the Elbow River Crossing at the bottom of a long\, gradual hill.\n\nDistance/Length:\nRated (MOD/INT)\, 10 km + 500 meters elevation gain: 4-5 hours hiking time \nCarpool Option:\nWhen possible\, carpooling will be arranged from the meeting place.
