Pocaterra Ridge Larch, Highwood Pass, Kananaskis

Description:
This is a moderate to a strenuous hike to panoramic views, with some off-trail hiking up to Pocaterra Ridge. There are options to stop before the top as the views are spectacular the entire hike!
Meet Place:
Highwood Pass parking lot, Kananaskis
Directions:
Meet at the Highwood Pass parking lot, Hwy 40, Kananaskis (trailhead for Pocaterra Ridge and Ptarmigan Cirque trails)
Distance/Length:
Rated (INT), 12 km + 760 meters elevation gain: 5-6 hours hiking. There is an option for some people to stop after about 500 metres of elevation gain and enjoy the views while others hike to the top.
Carpool Option:
When possible, carpooling will be arranged from the meet place.
