Evan Thomas Creek Waterfalls, Kananaskis

Description:

We’ll walk to a trio of spectacular ice falls decorating the great red cliffs along the west bank of the creek. Traction devices (cleats) for your boots should be used for this winter hike. You can rent cleats from Sports Rent in Calgary.

Directions:

Meet at the Shell station at COP before driving to Evan Thomas parking lot on Hwy 40, near the Village of Kananaskis.

Distance/Length:

Rated (AL), 10 km + 200 meters elevation gain: 3-4 hours on the trail.

Carpool Option:

When possible, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. It is not guaranteed but may be an option.
