Canmore walk, Downtown, Cougar Creek, Montane Traverse & Café

Description:

We’ll hike from downtown to the north SUNNY side of Canmore, exploring Cougar Creek and the Montane Traverse Trail and soaking up views of surrounding peaks as we follow pathways, through neighbourhoods, and back through downtown. Bring food fand drinks for the trail side lunch and then you can stop post walk for a coffee to warm up! You will be back in Calgary by 4-5 pm.

Meet Place:

Meet at the Shell Station across from COP in Calgary OR meet in Canmore at 9 am at the parking lot just before the Malcolm Hotel. Detailed location instructions will be provided.

Directions:

Take Hwy 1 to Canmore and park in the official town parking lot just before the Malcolm Hotel.

Distance/Length:

Rated (MOD), 15 km + 450 meters elevation gain: 4-5 hours on trail.

Carpool Option:

When possible, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. If you need to carpool, please advise Lori. It is not guaranteed but may be an option.
