We’ll climb through treed slopes to wide-open powder and spectacular views of the Spray Lakes and mountain peaks. Onward along a forested path to Rummel Lake. If snow if abundant this trail allows for lots of powdery off-trail exploration.
Meet at the Shell Station, Hwy 1 across from COP
From the Shell Station we will take Hwy 1 to Hwy 40 to the Spray lakes Road (Hwy 762). Follow the Spray Lakes Road for about 20-25 minutes, about 5 minutes past the Chester Lake trailhead to a pull-off across from the road that goes to Engadine Lodge.
Rated (MOD), 10 km + 500 meters elevation gain: 4-5 hours on trail.
When possible, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. It is not guaranteed but may be an option.
