Historically, we walked more. Walking is inherently slow and because of this, it is the best way to see behind the scenes of a place, to meet people and get their stories. And it turns out that feeling connected to people and place makes us happier.
Connecting five communities, this route sheds light on the kind of diversity Calgary can pack into a 5-km radius. We’ll start in Roxboro and climb through Roxboro Natural Park to stunning views. Up and over McLeod Trail, we’ll walk through Reader Rock Garden before connecting to Ramsay where variety is the spice of life. Big views from Scotsman’s Hill before we’ll flow with the Elbow River into Mission.
