Description:

Join Lori Beattie, author of Calgary’s Best Walks, for a guided 1 hour walk at the Cross Conservation Area, a 4,800-acre day-use habitat conservation area and nocturnal preserve. We’ll walk for an hour enjoying the spectacular fall colours and some of the trails that Lori features in her book and then Lori will take you on a visual tour of some of the 95 walks in her new 3rd edition of Calgary’s Best Walks. 

Lori’s books will be for sale at the event.

Cross Conservation Area at 1 pm for the walk, 2:15 ish for the talk.

Directions:

Sandy Cross: Hwy 22x south of Calgary at 160 Street. Drive to the end of 160 St and park in the official parking lot.

Walk Distance/Length:

1 pm: 5 km + 100 metres elevation: 1 hour of walking
