My Serious Life is a new docuseries grounded in the Serious Leisure Perspective theory that explores the significance of leisure in shaping identity, community, and a sense of belonging. Through real-life journeys and storytelling, it highlights the beauty and depth of “serious leisure” — those passionate pursuits that enrich lives and strengthen communities.

We invite you to celebrate the official launch of My Serious Life at Ambrose University, in partnership with TELUS StoryHive, which will premiere the series on their digital platforms.

The event will feature:

• A screening of one of the six episodes.
• A panel discussion with the creator, community participants, and scholars.
• A chance to engage in dialogue about leisure, meaning, and community development.

This launch is not only a celebration of people involved in the production and creative storytelling, but also a platform to bring together academics, students, community organizations, and the public to rethink leisure’s place in our lives.
