Canmore neighbourhoods, waterfalls, Bow River & beyond trails, Policeman’s Creek Café Loop

Description:

We’ll hike the neighbourhoods, river trails, and, depending on trail conditions and weather, we’ll climb the High Line Trail above the Three Sisters neighbourhood or we’ll walk to Larch Island and climb to waterfalls and hidden stairways with great views. We’ll stop in downtown Canmore for a coffee post-hike if you have time. Bring lunch for the hike and we will eat along the trail. You should be back in Calgary by 3-4 pm (depending on if you stop for a coffee).

Meet Place:

Meet in Canmore at Centennial Park, 5 Ave and 5 St, near the bathrooms. There is official parking and street parking along the park at 5 Ave and 5 St.

Directions:

Take Hwy 1 to Canmore

Distance/Length:

Rated (MOD), 12 km + 300-500 meters elevation gain: 4-5 hours on trail.

Carpool Option:

When possible, carpooling will be arranged from the Shell station in Calgary. If you need to carpool, please advise Lori. It is not guaranteed but may be an option.
