Burstall Pass Larch, Kananaskis

Description:

Burstall Pass trail winds through forests and willow flats near the Burstall Lakes and then climbs to alpine meadows and golden larches. Definitely one of the top larch hikes in Kananaskis!

Meet Place:

Meet at the Shell Station on Hwy 1 at Bowfort Road, NW. It is beside the Wendy’s. We will meet in the parking stalls that face Hwy. 1 near the Wendy’s. See exact location on the map below.

Directions:

Burstall Pass trailhead is located on Hwy 762 (Smith Dorrien) in Kananaskis. Here is the Google Map link to the Burstall Pass trailhead 

Distance/Length:

Rated MOD: 16 km + 450 m elevation gain: 5 hours of hiking.

Carpool Option:

When possible, carpooling will be arranged from our meet place. It is not guaranteed, but might be an option. If you need to carpool because you do not have a car, please advise Lori.
