Grass Pass & beyond (Bull Creek Hills), Kananaskis

Description:
Wildflowers and views! We’ll climb a forested path along the Pack Trail Coulee a grassy pass between the Bull Creek Hills and Holy Cross Mountain. We’ll climb some more before dipping into a forest and beginning our final accent to the top of the Bull Creek Hills. We will do a portion of the Bull Creek Hills route and will backtrack down to our cars. Panoramic views, fall foliage, and Limber pines are a constant.
Meet Place:
Red Deer Lake Church, Hwy 22X (If you are keen to carpool from the city, please advise Lori and she will try to match you with someone else)
Directions:
From the meet place we travel to Longview and then into the Kananaskis.
Distance/Length:
Rated (MOD/INT), 10 km + 500-600* meters elevation gain: 5 hours hiking time
*Option to climb more or less
Carpool Option:
When possible, carpooling will be arranged. It is not guaranteed but may be an option.
