Load up your pack and join us for some hiking training. A steep climb leads to breathtaking views of the front ranges, the Elbow River Valley, and the city of Calgary. We’ll loop down the West Side Story trail on the backside of Prairie Mountain to connect to the Prairie Creek trail for a rolling, creekside finish. This is a challenging hike and is for those who have been doing some stair and hill training already or the equivalent physical challenge. NOTE: A steep descent, possibly on snow and ice, means that cleats may be necessary. Those with knee issues would not enjoy this hike due to the steep descent.
