Snowshoe: Ptarmigan Cirque, Highwood Pass, Kananaskis

Description:
Join us for the last day at the top of the world! The Highwood Pass closes on Dec. 1 so we’ll enjoy the final day snowshoeing a forested path before entering a spectacular cirque with big views all around.

Meet Place:
Kananaskis Visitor Centre on Hwy. 40. Drive west on Hwy 1 to Hwy 40 turnoff.
Directions:
After we meet up we will continue on Hwy. 40 to the Highwood Pass Parking lot.
Distance/Length:
Rated (MOD), 8 km + 300 meters elevation gain. Approx. 4 hours on the trail.
Carpool Option:
If you would like to carpool please arrange amoungst yourselves. I suggest meeting at the Shell Station on Hwy 1 at Bowfort Road.
