Historically, we walked more. Walking is inherently slow and because of this, it is the best way to see behind the scenes of a place, to meet people and get their stories. And it turns out that feeling connected to people and place makes us happier.
Calgary’s river valley topography is celebrated on this walk that begins in Britannia with stunning views before we descend through saskatoon slopes to the river valley. Connector paths and hidden stairways lead us past homes, stunning gardens, into the urban wilds, and along the river pathway.
Lori’s books including her NEW BOOK, Calgary’s Best Walks 3rd edition, with 95 walks including 50 NEW WALKS, will be for sale at the walk!
